Kevin and Julie contacted AJT Showers looking to refurbish both of their bathrooms to better support their ongoing and developing mobility needs.

Kevin suffers from neuropathy, which was making everyday bathing more difficult, while Julie was beginning to struggle with climbing into the bath. Their goal was to create two safe, accessible bathrooms that would support them both now and into the future, without compromising on comfort or appearance.

From the outset, they wanted a company that would listen carefully, communicate clearly, and manage the project with care.

For Kevin’s ensuite, we designed and installed a level access wet room, removing any step or threshold to create a safe and easy-to-use showering space.

The installation included:

• A level access wet room shower
• A comfort height back-to-wall toilet
• A basin with semi pedestal
• A LED-lit recessed niche within the shower area, positioned at an easy-to-reach height for shampoo and body wash

The layout was designed to give Kevin the space and confidence he needed, while keeping
the room modern, practical, and easy to maintain.

Once the wet room was complete, we moved on to refurbishing Julie’s bathroom, creating a space that offered ease of access without losing the feel of a traditional bathroom.

This bathroom features:

• A frameless, low-level quadrant shower enclosure
• A LED-lit niche within the shower area
• A comfort height toilet
• A full run of fitted furniture, incorporating a semi-recessed basin
• A LED mirror cabinet above the fitted furniture for improved visibility and storage
• Slip-resistant Karndean flooring, providing added safety underfoot while maintaining a high-quality finish

The result is a bathroom that is both stylish and practical, making daily routines easier and more comfortable for Julie.
