When Peter Saggs contacted AJT Showers Ltd, he was ready to modernise his bathroom and create a space that better suited his needs and preferences.

Around ten years earlier, Peter had installed a wet room to accommodate his late partner, who used a wheelchair. Having served its purpose well, the time had come for a change.

Inspired by a bathroom he had seen while on holiday, Peter wanted a stylish new bathroom centred around a corner shower enclosure, while retaining practical safety features to support his everyday needs.

After discovering our showroom in Littlehampton, Peter visited to explore the options available and choose the design that felt right for him.

Our aim was to create a bathroom that combined modern design, comfort and accessibility, without compromising on the space and safety features Peter wanted.

Peter’s existing wet room had originally been designed around wheelchair accessibility. However, his needs and preferences had changed, and he was ready for a more modern bathroom.

During his visit to our Littlehampton showroom, Peter explored our bathroom displays and found the corner shower enclosure that matched the style he had admired on holiday.

Safety was also an important consideration. Having experienced a couple of falls, Peter wanted additional support when showering, together with the option to sit down whenever needed.

The refurbishment included:

The aim was to transform the existing wet room into a modern, welcoming bathroom that felt open and comfortable while retaining important safety features.

AJT Showers Ltd carried out Peter’s complete bathroom refurbishment over seven days, with the installation taking place across a bank holiday period.

The project involved transforming the existing wet room into a refreshed bathroom centred around Peter’s chosen corner shower enclosure.

Our team worked to bring Peter’s preferred design to life while incorporating the grab rail and shower seat he wanted for additional reassurance when showering.

Throughout the installation, the focus remained on delivering a bathroom that felt spacious, comfortable and practical, without losing sight of the modern appearance Peter had envisioned.

The finished bathroom provided a fresh new space that better reflected Peter’s lifestyle and preferences, while retaining important accessibility and safety features.
